Polar Ford Turbo


Este é um carro significativo. O Polar-Ford turbo de Jaime Levy, o primeiro carro de corrida turbo do Brasil, de 1973. O motor era do Corcel, com turbo compressor. O patrocinador, SPI, era uma empresa de Levy. O Polar também foi usado com motor VW naquele ano. Foto de Rogerio P. Luz.

This is first Brazilian turbo engined racing car, the Polar Ford turbo of 1973, driven by Jaime Levy. Tthe car was equipped with a Ford Corcel engined with a single turbo. The sponsor, SPI, was a company owned by Levy himself. The company would sponsor the 1974 March F3 works team. The Polar was also used with normally aspirated VW engines. Photo by Rogerio P. Luz.
